PROCEDURES AND
ADVANTAGES
Hotels that want to get the label, first have to apply to
the of-FEEE. During fall, the candidates receive a questionnaire, that
they have to send back to the of-FEEE in february for its examination
by the jury.
The jury delivers the labels in March.
The awarded sites are visited by an of-FEEE ambassador during summer.
Of course, the Green key is also a communication tool as it is known through
several countries, and the sustainable tourism increase makes it a key
instrument for choosing one’s holidays place. FEE encourages awarded
sites to use this tool in their own promotion media (brochure, website,
partnerships...).
Awarded sites also benefit from following promotion:
- presence on the Clef Verte website
- presence on the international Green Key website (www.green-key.org)
- presence in local and national press after the annual press conference.
Moreover, being rewarded by the Green Key gives management practices that
permit to limit one’s environmental impacts.
Furthermore, the Green Key may be a medium to communicate with your employees.
Actually, environmental management can become a federative line for your
staff, either permanent or seasonal.
