PROCEDURES AND
ADVANTAGES
An independent label and an asset for your promotion
The Green Key is a volontary label for which one must
apply to the Foundation for Environmental Education. A questionnaire is
then sent to applicants, in october/november, and is to be returned in
February to be presented to the Jury in March.
The jury meets in March and reward applicants.
Then, a promotion campaign is organised and awarded accommodation are
visited during the summer season.
Of course, the Green Keyis a communication tool as it is known through
several countries, and the sustainable tourism increase makes it a key
instrument for choosing one’s holidays place. The of-FEEE encourages
awarded sites to use this tool in their own promotion media (brochure,
website, partnerships...).
Awarded sites benefit from the following promotion:
- Présence on the French Green Key website
- Présence on the international website www.green-key.org
- Présence in the Guide Bel Air
- Présence in the Guide Officiel des Terrains,
- Présence in the German guide ADAC (for those who are selected)
- Présence in the national and regional press
Moreover, being rewarded by the Green Key gives management
practices that permit to limit one’s environmental impacts.
Furthermore, the Green Key may be a medium to communicate with your employees.
Actually, environmental management can become a federative line for your
staff, either permanent or seasonal.
