the green key

Green Key was founded in 1994 in Denmark, adapted in France in 1998 and since has continued to expand.

First to nearby European countries (Sweden, Netherlands, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Belgium ...) and the Mediterranean (Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Cyprus ...) and finally spread on the five continents ( Japan, Canada, Puerto Rico, New Zealand ...).

Today, Green Key is active in 14 countries and more than 1000 different tourist establishments. 5 new countries (Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, Jamaïca and Puerto Rico) are now implementing the program.

The criteria, procedures, values are common to all countries, making it the first international network of tourist accommodation that respects the environment.
